Red Deer Stag portriats

A good Sunrise this morning saw me back on the heath at Porthgwarra with the same pair of Red Deer Stags that I worked with on Saturday,  The younger male approached the older and offered a bit of a challenge, The older male sniffed the air while looking very aloof but decided to respond to the challenge by lowering his head,  The younger stag was quick off the mark lunging forward with his dagger like points to score a hit but this was no serious dual just a little practise to prepare for when a serious rut might come along,  The older male moved up to the top of the heath to put a little more space between us and as he did so he turned and called to the younger stag to join him and the pair sauntered off with the younger stag giving me one last glance before they were gone.
