Garden Wildlife

It was a drab Cornish Missal morning as I sat cleaning up my Photo files until a call of Woodpecker came from my wife which prompted some fast action to assemble my camera.

We get a host of birds visiting our garden feeders but Green and Spotted Woodpecker are a bit special.

This one turned out to be a juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker and it did me a favour by completing a second visit within  thirty minutes of the first grab shots when I was more prepared for the action captured below
