A female Peregrine above is around half way through consuming prey taken a little earlier when her hungry mate arrived on the scene looking for a piece of the prize but the female sees him coming and warns him off while guarding the prey.
The Male Peregrine backs off and departs leaving the female to complete her meal in peace.
Other south coast subjects this morning included many Painted Lady Butterflies and a very nice perched male Emperor Dragonfly.
