Owls futile aerial Dispute

The two Short Eared Owls above are about to enter into a head to head aerial combat over disputed hunting rights to an area of West Cornwall's heathland.

During the Battle recorded below the birds slam together in three clashes with their powerful talons brought to the fore.

There didn't appear to be a winner or loser and at the end of the conflict both birds seemed to move out of the disputed Territory turning what looked like a serious dispute into a futile exercise !  But perhaps this was just the end of  'Round One ' !
