Kestrel in the afternoon Sunshine

I had nothing planned for PM today but the afternoon sunshine soon lured me out and about and I found myself back at Marazion Marsh once again.

I saw this fine female Kestrel hunting over the marsh and with a light southwesterly wind to cope with the bird was facing towards me as it first hovered for a while then dropped down into a bramble bush right in front of the viewing recess still facing in the right direction.

I managed to take front, left and right profile images before the bird was up on the wing hovering again at about twenty metres distance before effortlessly peeling off to the opposite end of the warren in seconds using the wind with superb control.
