Buzzards V Ravens.
One Cornish Icon passes another at 6.15 am this morning as the Scillonion passes St Michael's Mount with her decks heaving with Gig Rower passengers heading to Scillies for their World Championships over the bank holiday weekend.
Overhead a female Buzzard breaks cover flying off to hunt, She is immediately challenged by a Male Raven that also has a nest in the same area and this makes the two arch rivals.
The Raven launches a serious attack on the Buzzard trying to repel it but the male Buzzard sees and hears the dispute and come in to defend its mate.
The two birds are to much for the larger Raven which retreats leaving the female to continue on her way
