Peregrine Portraits

It is always nice to get the feeling of acceptance when working with wildlife in general,  With this particular Peregrine we have set our working distance at around a hundred metres which seems to be working well for the birds but a bit of a stretch for our lenses.

With many hours put in the female is beginning to ignore us in the main but she is dramatically reducing the distance between us to as little as Thirty metres on occasions and settles down for a preening session while waiting for the male to return with prey, Then when she does leave to take a prey hand-over from the male we get the benefit of closer flight shots on her terms.
