The Last Leg.

A Male Peregrine has flown back up the cliff face from a recent Pigeon kill that he has been sharing with his mate at a lower level.

Having gorged himself as can be seen by his extended crop he settles down to digest his meal.

The female had fed before him on the same kill and was now busy disgorging by-product pellets but she decided to fly back down to the kill just in case the male had left any tasty morsels.

But the male had done a good job on mopping-up and she came away with what was literally
             ' The Last Leg ! '

All that is left here is feathers and well stripped bones from what had been a healthy flying Pigeon an hour earlier but the peregrine only ever take what they need to survive and nothing is wasted !
