Four or five generations of local Vixen have brought their off-spring to forage in our garden over the last ten years but so far this year we have had visits from the vixen shown above but no cubs.
This could be due to an increase in several badgers also passing through most evenings so perhaps the vixen has been keeping the cubs away until they were experienced enough to avoid clashing with the badgers.
Well last night they 'Came of Age' and she brought two of them through our nature trail to leave them to explore and the badger came and went without any problems between them
These cubs had a fine time and a few peanuts before heading off home together and I'm sure they will now return regularly during the oncoming summer evenings !
