Male Kestrel Predates on Meadow Pipit

A male Kestrel catches a Meadow Pipit which it flies back to hand-over to its mate who is waiting on a regular exchange point near their nest site.

The female is on to the prey before the male can even display it to her !

Dragging it from the males talons she turns into the wind to take-off and secure her ownership of the prey,

Once clear of the male she flies to a favoured plucking point and will quickly devour his latest offering before returning to the important job of completing the incubation her latest clutch of eggs.
