Practise makes Perfect !

They say that ' Practise makes Perfect '  and this morning I watched in awe as our north cornish coast Kestrel made three Vole prey exchanges at the same inch perfect location near their nest site in just a ten minute period.

This pair have been using the same nest site for at least three years and produced eleven off-spring during that time while also fine tuning their flight hunting and prey hand-over procedures and locations

Their consistent behaviour patterns have also produced predictable compositional images of fast moving flights and behaviour for me with the use of preset camera, lens and tripod positions fired by remote shutter release which has in turn increased my success rate per visit.

We will soon be looking forward to working with their four latest fledglings.
